## **Explanation of Service Disruption - March 2025**

**MAD20 Accelerates Move to .COM Domain Due to DNS Service Disruption**

As a result of a DNS service provider’s administrative error, MAD20 accelerated its planned migration from its domain ending in “.io” to a new domain ending in “.com”.

**Issue **

On Monday, March 10, 2025 at 5:00PM ET, MAD20 experienced a service outage impacting its website, email, and platform.

**Action **

MAD20’s IT and security team immediately responded and quickly traced the source of the outage to an administrative error made by MAD20’s DNS service provider (now former service provider). To be clear, this was not a security breach nor was it caused by any action taken by MAD20. Platform access to existing subscribers was quickly restored via a direct link to MAD20’s SkillsHub login page. However, full access to MAD20’s website, email, and platform occurred within 48 hours of the original incident.

**Impact**

MAD20’s new domain is [www.mad20.com](https://www.mad20.com?hsLang=en). Subscribers can continue to access SkillsHub and ARENAS via the MAD20 platform at www.mad20.matrixlms.com. All existing subscriptions have been extended by one week to account for the 48 hours of downtime caused by this event. No other changes to MAD20’s website, email, or platform have been made as a result of this event. MAD20 will work with our former DNS service provider to transfer the MAD20.io domain to our new DNS provider for purposes of implementing the appropriate redirects.
